Terms and Conditions

Payments

Full payment must be made upon reservation.

Refunds & Cancellations

If a cancellation is made more than 28 days before the date of play, then  payment will be refunded.

If a cancellation is made less than 28 days before the date of play, 50% of the full payment will be retained by the Club.

If a cancellation is made less than 14 days before the date of play, 100% of the full payment will be retained by the Club.

However, if an alternative date can be agreed, payment will remain valid for the new booking date. Alternatively, a voucher will be issued to be redeemed within a year of the original booking date.

We regret that we cannot offer refunds due to delayed/cancelled flights or travel plans, personal injury or illness.  We recommend that you have travel insurance to cover this eventuality.

Handicap Requirements

The maximum handicap limit is 22 for gentlemen and 36 for ladies. Handicap certificates should be presented to the Professional's Shop on arrival. The Club reserves the right to refuse access to the course to anyone who does not have a valid handicap certificate without refund.

Prior To Play

All players must check in at the Professional's Shop at least 15 minutes before their start time to confirm the number of their group and the format that they are playing. Players must also present their handicap certificates at this point.
Should there be any residual green fees to pay then this should be paid at the Professional's shop before play commences. The Club cannot guarantee a tee time for any golfers exceeding the number of players already booked.
Visitors are requested to change in the clubhouse changing rooms and not in the car park.

Dress Code - On The Course

Tailored shorts are permitted on the course provided they are worn with knee length socks. Tennis or gym shorts are not permitted.
Only collared and polo neck shirts are permitted on the course.
Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
Tailored trousers must be worn - no denim trousers are permitted.
Golf shoes must be worn - no trainers are permitted.

Dress Code - In The Clubhouse

Only collared and polo neck shirts are permitted in the causal lounge of the Clubhouse.
Tailored trousers must be worn - no denim trousers are permitted.
Smart shoes must be worn - no golf shoes, sandals or trainers are permitted.
A jacket and tie is required in the Jack Aisher Room and Dining Room after 11.00am.
Tailored shorts are permitted in the clubhouse provided they are worn with knee length socks.
Waterproof tops or bottoms are not permitted upstairs in the Clubhouse or in the Dining Room.
The wearing of head wear is not permitted upstairs in the Clubhouse or in the Dining Room.

Tees

Play will be from the Club tees unless prior permission has been sought to play from alternative tees. This is to help ensure good pace of play and the enjoyment of all golfers.

Slow Play

Please avoid slow play. The normal courtesies of golf should be observed and the rules of etiquette should be followed at all times. For visitors guidance a round of golf should take a maximum of 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 hours.
Persistently slow players may be asked to leave the course. No refund will be given.

Caddies/Buggies/Trolleys/Hire Clubs

Caddies, buggies, trolleys and hire clubs can be booked and paid for through the Professional's Shop. Please call 01304 374170 or email the Professional

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones may be taken onto the course and used in case of emergency only.
Mobile phones may only be used in the Clubhouse for silent browsing. Mobile phones may not be used to make phone calls. Phones must remain on silent at all times.

Halfway Hut

Royal Cinque Ports has a half way hut adjacent to the 9th green. Hot and cold refreshments can be purchased here. There is also a toilet at the back of the hut. The hut is cash only.

On The Course

All pitch marks should be repaired, divots replaced and bunkers raked.

Opening Hours

The bar is open for service at 8.00am and closes at 8.00pm in the Summer or 6.00pm in the Winter. We are happy to extend these hours but only by prior arrangement.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted within the Clubhouse, halfway hut or any other confined space.

Other Information

The Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club does not accept liability for damage, loss or injury suffered by persons on the course or in the Clubhouse or environs. Motor vehicles are driven or parked at the owner's risk whilst on golf club property where the Club accepts no responsibility for damage.
